An Interview with Mrs. Ring
Naomi: Why did you decide to be a band teacher?
Mrs. Ring: Because I really liked playing in band and I just wanted to be a part of music and let kids have the same experience as I did.
Naomi: Did you want to be a band teacher when you were a kid?
Mrs. Ring: No, I wanted to be the President of the United States for a while.
Naomi: What is your favorite thing to do besides music?
Mrs. Ring: I really love to read.
Naomi: What is the best thing about teaching band?
Mrs. Ring: All the cool music. Every year there are cool new songs that are fun to play.
Naomi: What is your favorite color?
Mrs. Ring: Probably blue.

V: I love country, I’ve gone line dancing a couple times.
5. M: Weirdest things that have happened during teaching?
V: When I was teaching first grade in Alaska I had to take 30 minutes dress a kid to go outside. While I was teaching here in third block we wrote a poem about Cody Martinez being loud (he was all for it). And being called “mom” is always weird.

Answer: For my undergraduate, I went to Western State College. For graduate school, I went to the University of Texas- Pan American.
3. Question: What’s your favorite part about teaching?
Answer: The students, and all of their personalities and excitement when they’re learning new concepts.
4. Question: What fun things did you do as a kid?
Answer: I traveled with my family, played and watched many diverse sports, and enjoyed all kinds of family activities!

Answer: Overseas in Manila in the Philippines and Colorado
6. Question: What do you do in your spare time?
Answer: Read, enjoy sports, travel, and spend time with family and friends … and grade papers, create lessons, and plan BIG assignments for my awesome students! :)
